WHO WE ARE:
The organization was incorporated in Canada in 1992, and has its own Board of Directors. There are presently ten work Centres in Canada, all volunteer
run, by approximately 300 dedicated volunteers. The Work Centres are located
in Ontario, Saskatchewan and Alberta. Volunteers originate from Lutheran
congregations hosting the centres, members of other Lutheran congregations
in the area and
What we do: Books of the Bible, Christian Books and other devotional materials sharing God's Word, are produced in Braille and Large Print in English and in many other languages. Lutheran Braille Workers' materials are FREE upon request to the blind and visually impaired worldwide. Materials used in the printing and mailing of these books are paid for from contributions from individuals and interested groups, and by centre fund raising. The biggest expense is the special braille paper needed to assure the highest quality of braille is produced. If you wish to help you can donate directly or you can use our Memorial Packets and Joy Cards. (Charitable receipts are available for donations of $10.00 or more.) These are available for the purpose of remembering those who have passed on or for special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) and the monies are given to this organization in the donors name. The goal of Lutheran Braille Workers-Canada is to earnestly
continue in the work Christ has set before us. We pray that we can continue
to expand his Ministry.
